WritersWriting instructors, Denver Butson and Lela Nargi are working writers who are actively publishing poetry, fiction and nonfiction in their own books and in internationally recognized periodicals. Both are also trained writing instructors with years of experience in university classrooms, private writing workshops, and other venues.


about Lela Nargi

Lela Nargi is a writer whose memoir, travel and food writing has appeared in literary journals such as Gastronomica , Natural Bridge and Descant. For over a decade, she has worked as a writer, reporter, and editor for national magazines, and she wrote the cookbook, All U Can Eat. Her second book, Knitting Lessons, will appear in the spring of 2003 on Jeremy P. Tarcher Books (a division of Penguin Putnam). In 2002, she was a finalist for New Millennium Prize. Her essay “Into the Thar” was listed in the “Notables” section of Best American Travel Writing 2002. She has taught independently in the U.S. and abroad.
